Orient Spun Silk and Processing Mills produces Cellulosic Dyed Yarn like Modal and Excel Yarn in the brand name of ‘REISHMI’, Eri Silk (Peace Silk) as the brand ‘ERICA’, Mulberry Silk as ‘ORIENT PAT’ and Golden Thread (Muga) as ‘ORLINA’. The unit is SILK MARK Certified.

REISHMI is an eco-friendly and biodegradable yarn with a silky soft feel. It is a cellulosic yarn made out of wood pulp. The yarn maintains its silkiness even after repeated wash. It has high water absorbency and its wet strength is higher than that of cotton. It is also antimicrobial in nature and possesses the property to stop the growth of bacteria and viruses.

“ORIENT PAT” is a superior quality Mulberry Silk dyed yarn. The raw silk yarn is processed by Winding, Doubling and Twisting for achieving evenness. PLC-based Spray Hank Dyeing Machines of Loris Bellini and Mezzera, both imported from Italy, are being used in our unit which gives uniform shade and light fastness.

Similarly, Hand Spun Eri and Hand Reeled Muga Silk (Golden Silk) yarn procured from Hand Reelers and Spinners are improved in the unit by uniformly twisting the yarn in our Savio TFO Machines. Our Eri Grey and Dyed Yarn are both branded as ERICA. Eri Dyed Yarn has washing and light fastness with a rating of 4 to 5 out of 5 in the BIS Scale. ‘ORLINA’ - our Muga Twisted Yarn is softer and uniform.
